RE: Assembly Bill 611 (Quirk-Silva) - Support

Dear Assemblymember Quirk-Silva,

Crime Victims United is proud to lend strong support to AB 611. We want to extend our gratitude to the author for her understanding of the need for protection for crime victims.

California Safe at Home program has allowed victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking to have some peace of mind knowing that their addresses are protected from their assailant. Statistically it is well known the most dangerous time for victims of these crimes is when they take the courageous step to leave the abuse. Many of the victims need to keep their residence private to prevent them form being harmed, stalked, or harassed by their assailant. It's critical that their address be protected. AB 611 closed a loophole in the prior laws that neglected to include homeowner associations. It is important that this be added to ensure broader protection for crime victims.

On behalf of California crime victims, we respectfully request a yes vote for AB 611.
