At the 2024 Crime Victims United Reception, we honored victims’ rights pioneer Marc Klaas for his endless work demanding rights for victims and their families. Marc is retiring from the KlaasKids Foundation after almost 30 years of protecting kids and their families.

We also honored our selections for “Crime Victims United’s Legislators of the Year”. We chose a Republican and a Democrat from both the Assembly and the Senate who upholds the bi-partisan mission and values of Crime Victims United; Being passionate about public safety and victims rights, and not being afraid to speak out against those who oppose that passion. Even when it interferes with political allegiances.
